December is almost here, meaning it's time to light up the sparkle both inside and around us. And, of course, we always start with our home. First, get 'Jingle Bells' playing in your head and something Christmassy in the background (music or a movie), take out a sheet of paper and a pencil and make your action plan (otherwise, you might get lost in all this festive hustle or, conversely, buy out the entire decor store).

There are many styles of apartment decoration for Christmas: country, Scandinavian, red-and-white Provence, but we've created a list of basic ideas that will add a touch of color and warmth to your home.

What you'll need for home decoration:

• Of course, candles: absolutely different kinds, aromatic with your favorite scents: cinnamon, ginger, chocolate, winter forest, candles in lantern-style holders of light shades of different shapes, long candles of different colors to light during festive dinners.
• Pine cones: a very simple decor element that makes a home very cozy! You can scatter them around the rooms, put them in jars or other containers.
• Garlands: think in advance about the size and shape you need, to decorate the tree, balcony, furniture, etc.
• A Christmas tree or an alternative: a fir wreath, just branches that can be combined in one vase with eucalyptus and mistletoe or other favorite plants, it can also be a wall garland in the shape of a tree, which looks very original
• Toys or decorative elements made of natural materials, wood, many of which can be made by hand
• Details: show originality, return to childhood and improvise. Advent calendars, various plates with fruits, nuts, sweets. Of course, socks for Santa Claus! Everything that evokes warm emotions in you.
